Vietnam Classic Tours

Ha Noi - Hai Phong - Ha Long - Huong Pagoda
(6 days/ 5 nights)

Tour Code: VN2P6

Day1: Ha Noi

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport. Meet and transfer to hotel. Take a glimpse of Ha Noi on a short city tour to see the cultural richness of the capital of Vietnam. Tour includes Ngoc Son Temple or pagoda of the jade mountain standing at the northern end of Sword Lake which provides relaxing atmosphere. Then proceed to the Old Quarter consisting of 36 commercial streets, each lined with ancient architectural works harmonized with lakes lying between. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day2: Hanoi

Continue the sightseeing tour in Ha Noi by the first visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the body of Ho Chi Minh is well kept. Then visit his house built on stilts situated nearby. Followed by the visit to One Pillar Pagoda, built by the Emperor Ly Thai Tong in 1049; it was built of wood on a single stone pillar, designed to resemble a lotus blossom which is a symbol of purity. Afterward, go for the Temple of Literature with its dominant traditional Vietnamese architecture, dedicated to Confucian cult which broke the Buddhist monopoly in education; the temple was then regarded as the site of the first university of Vietnam. Continue the route to the Fine Arts museum which gathers a collection of prestigious artifacts of Vietnam. Historical Museum is the next destination; here you will see the all encompassing Vietnam, its past and also its future. Enjoy the remarkable evening in Hanoi with Water Puppet Show which will make you appreciate the cultural background of Vietnam with the spectacular techniques of performance. Overnight stay in Ha Noi.

Day3: Ha Noi-Ha Long

Take a day trip to Ha Long, southeast of Ha Noi with a stop-over at Hai Phong where you will visit Du Hang Temple, Hang Kenh communal house and Sat Market. Then proceed to Ha Long for overnight stay.

Day4: Ha Long

Touch Ha Long in close-up with a full morning boat cruise on Ha Long Bay, a bay of wonder with thousands of islets and islands scattering throughout an area of 150 square kilometers. The local people use their imagination to flow the spirit into those mindless, timeless limestone and rocky islands and make them lovelier, livelier and attractive with names such as fighting cock islet, human head islet, golden tortoise and Ha Long itself means “descending dragon”. On the cruise, you will visit three wonderful grottos, Dau Go grotto, Thien Cung grotto, and Tam Cung grotto before returning to Ha Noi for overnight.

Day5: Ha Noi-Huong Pagoda

Take a drive to Ha Tay province where situates Huong Pagoda or the Perfume Pagoda. You will have a nice popular boat trip to get to the mountain to do a pilgrimage to a famous Buddhist Huong Pagoda. On the boat trip, you will pass the picturesquely pastoral view of Vietnam; green paddy fields along the river, dotted with flowered trees will make you immersed in magnificent nature, and make your trip worthy, absolutely. After being calm by the pilgrimage, you will also be refreshing with the pleasant and peaceful atmosphere around the Pagoda. Overnight stay in Ha Noi.
