Day1: Ho Chi Minh
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
Meet and transfer to hotel. Take a glimpse of Ho Chi Minh on a short
sightseeing tour consisting of Notre Dame Cathedral, China Town and
Thien Hau Temple. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh
Day2: Ho Chi Minh-Cu Chi
Continue city tour including
Reunification Palace, representing the reunited Vietnam; and War
Crime Museum displaying Chinese, Soviet and American weapons and war
vestiges. Then proceed to Cu Chi Tunnels, built to serve as the
Vietnamese guerillas’ base during the Vietnam War. This site will
take you back to those years of fierce struggles of Vietnam people;
you will comprehend why Vietnam won the War despite the overwhelming
force of modern weapons and endless money support of the opponent.
Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh.
Day3: Ho Chi Minh-My Tho
You will be driven to My Tho,
southwest of Ho Chi Minh to embark for a boat ride on the Mekong
River, heading to the orchard island. On the island, you will enjoy
tasting the tropical fruits and floating in a sampan, a typical
Vietnamese boat, along small canals for sightseeing. After
disembarking, you will go visiting Vinh Trang Pagoda before
returning to Ho Chi Minh for overnight stay.
Day4: Ho Chi Minh-Da nang-Hoi An
Take a flight to Da Nang and enjoy
sightseeing tour. The first stop at Cham Museum will make see the
excellent artworks and sculptures of Cham culture; there are now
over 300 pieces which are all original works. Then proceed to Marble
Mountains where can appreciate both natural beauty and the air of
historic events. The mountains are made of five limestone outcrops
standing in isolation from the surrounding plains, riddled with
caves and grottoes where some violent battles took place during the
Vietnam War. On the top, you will get the spectacular view of Da
Nang and the surrounding Marble Mountains. Afterwards, you will
stroll around on the China Beach which was made famous by war and
subsequent TV series, regarded as a good site for surfing as well.
Then transfer to Hoi An for overnight.
Day5: Da nang-Hoi An-Hue
Drive to Hoi An and visit its
ancient town teemed of ancient private houses, family chapels,
community halls, communal houses, temples, pagodas, bridges, wells
and tombs which are still somehow in original forms. Then enjoy a
boat ride along a river to ceramic village where you can find
ceramic plates and other ceramic products of good quality. After
finishing tour in Hoi An, proceed to Hue for overnight stay.
Day6: Hue
Start the trip in Hue, known as the
political and cultural center of the Feudal State of Vietnam during
the Nguyen Dynasty, by taking a boat ride along the Perfume River
which will take you to appreciate the exuberance of the old imperial
city in the past. Along the river, you will visit several historical
sites including Linh Mu Pagoda, the Tombs of King Minh Mang and King
Khai Dinh, and see the greatness of Imperial Citadel. Overnight stay
in Hue.
Day7: Hue-Ha Noi-Ha Long
Fly away from Hue to Ha Noi. Then
make continual trip to Ha Long with a stop-over at Hai Phong.
Overnight in Ha Long.
Day8: Ha Long
Touch Ha Long in close-up with a
full morning boat cruise on Ha Long Bay, a bay of wonder with
thousands of islets and islands scattering throughout an area of 150
square kilometers. The local people use their imagination to flow
the spirit into those mindless, timeless limestone and rocky islands
and make them lovelier, livelier and attractive with names such as
fighting cock islet, human head islet, golden tortoise and Ha Long
itself means “descending dragon”. On the cruise, you will visit
three wonderful grottos, Dau Go grotto, Thien Cung grotto, and Tam
Cung grotto before returning to Ha Noi for overnight.
Day9: Ha Noi
Enjoy a full day city tour to see
the cultural richness of the capital of Vietnam. Tour includes the
first visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the body of Ho Chi Minh
is well kept and then visit his house built on stilts situated
nearby. Follow with a visit to One Pillar Pagoda, built of wood on a
single stone pillar, designed to resemble a lotus blossom which is a
symbol of purity. Take a rest then along the bank of Sword Lake
which provides relaxing atmosphere. Afterward, go for the Temple of
Literature with its traditional Vietnamese architecture, dedicated
to Confucian cult which broke the Buddhist monopoly in education;
the temple was then regarded as the site of the first university of
Vietnam. Continue the route to the Fine Arts Museum which gathers a
collection of prestigious artifacts of Vietnam. Historical Museum is
the next destination; here you will see the all encompassing
Vietnam, its past and also its future. Enjoy the striking evening in
Hanoi with Water Puppet Show which will make you appreciate the
cultural background of Vietnam with the spectacular techniques of
performance. Overnight stay in Ha Noi.
Day10: Ha Noi-Departure
Transfer to Noi Bai Airport for
departure.
