Day1: Ho Chi Minh
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
Meet and transfer to hotel. Make the first glimpse of Ho Chi Minh on
a short sightseeing tour including Notre Dame allowing the
recognition to the original one in France, China town the most
bustling quarter of the city, and Thien Hua Temple. Overnight stay
in Ho Chi Minh.
Day2: Ho Chi Minh-Cu Chi
Continue exploring Ho Chi Minh on
city tour including the Reunification Palace, representing the
reunited Vietnam; Historical Museum featuring a collection of
artifacts of Vietnam in different periods; War Crime Museum
displaying Chinese, Soviet and American weapons and war vestiges.
Then proceed to Cu Chi Tunnels, built to serve as the Vietnamese
guerillas’ base during the Vietnam War. This site will take you
back to those years of fierce struggles of Vietnam people; you will
comprehend why Vietnam won the War despite the overwhelming force of
modern weapons and endless money support of the opponent. Overnight
in Ho Chi Minh.
Day3: Ho Chi Minh-Da Nang-Quang
Ngai-Hoi An
Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport
for flight to Da Nang. Then transfer to Quang Ngai and visit Son My
Massacre Museum and stroll around Co Luy Hamlet. After a trip in Da
Nang, turn back to Ha Noi for overnight stay.
Day4: Hoi An-Hue
Appreciate the ancient town of Hoi
An, teemed with ancient private houses, family chapels, community
halls, communal houses, temples, pagodas, bridges, wells and tombs
which are still somehow in original forms. Then transfer to Hue to
appreciate the exuberance of the old imperial city in the past while
making stop-over at Hai Van Pass with spectacular panorama of
mountains and green valley and Long Co Beach which offers pristine
environment of dazzling white beach and crystalline water. Overnight
stay in Hue.
Day5: Hue-Dong Ha
Transfer to Quang Tri province to
visit many historic sites during Vietnam War, including Hien Luong
Bridge, Ben Hai River, McNamara electronic Barrier, and Vinh Moc
Tunnels. In the afternoon, visit Khe Sanh Base, Ho Chi Minh Trail,
Drakong Suspension Bridge, Asau, Aloui Valleys, and Ta Con Airfield.
All these places can evoke the imagination to those times of war,
but what are left now are only memory as well as priceless lesson of
war for all man kind. Overnight in Dong Ha.
Day6: Dong Ha-Hue
Start a day with a visit at Truong
Son Cemetery and the Ninth National Road, other historic sites of
Vietnam War. Then proceed to Hue for a boat cruise along the Perfume
River which will take you to appreciate the exuberance of the old
imperial city in the past. Along the river, you will visit several
historical sites including the Tombs of King Minh Mang’s Tomb and
Thien Mu Pagoda.
Day7: Hue-Ha Noi
Take a flight to Ha Noi. Meet and
transfer to hotel. Then take the first glimpse of Ha Noi on a short
city tour including Ngoc Son Temple or pagoda of the jade mountain
standing at the northern end of Sword Lake which provides relaxing
atmosphere. Then proceed to the Old Quarter consisting of 36
commercial streets, each lined with ancient architectural works
harmonized with lakes lying between. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day8: Ha Noi
Continue the sightseeing tour in Ha
Noi by the first visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the body of Ho
Chi Minh is well kept. Then visit his house built on stilts situated
nearby. Followed by the visit to One Pillar Pagoda, built by the
Emperor Ly Thai Tong in 1049; it was built of wood on a single stone
pillar, elaborately designed to resemble a lotus blossom which is a
symbol of purity. Afterward, go for the Temple of Literature with
its ancient Vietnam architecture, dedicated to Confucian cult which
broke the Buddhist monopoly in education; the temple was then
regarded as the site of the first university of Vietnam Continue the
route to the Fine Arts Museum which gathers a collection of
prestigious artifacts of Vietnam. Historical Museum is the next
destination; here you will see the all encompassing Vietnam, its
past and also its future. Enjoy the remarkable evening in Hanoi with
Water Puppet Show which will make you appreciate the cultural
background of Vietnam with the spectacular techniques of
performance. Overnight stay in Ha Noi.
Day9: Ha Noi-Departure
Enjoy shopping in the last minutes
before departure.
